Beneath the Surface:

My Philosophy

My first and foremost priority is you: the patient and your experience. I understand that having surgery for skin cancer, particularly in cosmetically and functionally sensitive areas like the face, can be stressful.

Our team is here to support and educate you through each step of the surgical process. My goals align with yours: to fully remove the skin cancer and to provide the best cosmetic outcome possible.

I look forward to using my expertise to provide you with a positive surgical experience and best possible outcome. It is an honor to participate in your care.

"I have performed thousands of Mohs surgical procedures over my career."

Background and Training

I have always had a passion for art, nature and science which makes Mohs sugery a natural fit for me. Mohs demands scientific expertise in microscopic evaluation and dermatopathology as well as a creative artistic touch for intricate facial reconstruction.

I earned my medical degree with special recognition in research from the Western University of Health Sciences in California. I then completed dermatology training at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where I served as Chief Resident.

Throughout my academic career, I was honored with a host of academic awards and scholarships. I was invited to speak at national events many times, and my research helped grow the industry’s knowledge-base. My work has been published in some of dermatology’s most respected journals.

After completing my residency, I recognized my love of Mohs surgery and secured a fellowship position at the LECOM Larkin Hospital program in Miami. My Florida-based Mohs training at one of the finest schools in the country gave me special insights into the treatment of Floridians. I use this expertise every day for patients at Arsenault Dermatology, particularly those who need Mohs surgery for skin cancer
