You’re tired of relying on cosmetic creams that promise miracles and don’t deliver. You’re sick of feeling like you’re fighting a losing battle as you age and your skin succumbs to damage from the sun with wrinkles, uneven skin tone, sunspots and scarring. But when it comes to getting cosmetic treatments, you hesitate. Which procedure should you choose? Is it going to be invasive? Dr. Arsenault is available to discuss Sciton BBL and all your treatment options.
Sciton BBL Laser and the Conditions It Treats
If you’re reluctant to undergo a cosmetic procedure because you’re afraid of invasive surgery, Dr. Arsenault will explain that Sciton BBL is non-invasive. The lasers raise the temperature of the outermost layer of your skin lightly to increase the production of the “building block” of skin, collagen, which eventually leads to tighter, firmer skin. The laser also works on the blood vessels that give your skin a reddish tinge. You’ll see improvement for:
- Wrinkles and creases on your face, neck and everywhere on your body;
- Skin that’s uneven in tone;
- Scarring from acne and injuries;
- Sunspots and other sun damage;
- Acne breakouts;
- Varicose veins;
- Red patches of skin.
According to Dr. Arsenault’s recommendation, you’ll come back for an additional one to four visits spaced several weeks apart for best results.
An Overview of the Sciton BBL Laser Procedure
The Sciton BBL laser is done in Dr. Arsenault’s office and takes only a few minutes – perhaps up to half an hour if she’s treating a large area of skin. Your skin may be a little red and sore, but that will fade within a few days, if not later the same day. Depending on the extent of your skin’s condition, you’ll come back for an additional one to four visits spaced several weeks apart for best results. Aftercare is typically limited to taking care not to poke or peel any scabs that appear on the treated area to minimize scarring.
Scheduling a Sciton BBL Laser Appointment in Florida
Dr. Arsenault takes appointments in both the Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch areas. Don’t let the damage the Florida sun takes on your skin do permanent damage, when this laser treatment can make your skin look more youthful and even in tone. It’s an outpatient procedure, so you’ll return to your normal routine within a matter of hours.
Before you schedule an appointment with Dr. Arsenault, you might consider a teledermatology consultation. If your schedule doesn’t allow for much time off, a video conference in which you and the doctor discuss your issues and whether or not Sciton BBL will work for you. After that, you can select a time for the procedure at her office.
